CapMan Growth invests in Suomen Avustajapalvelut, a company providing personal assistance services. Suomen Avustajapalvelut provides personal assistance to persons with disabilities or chronic illnesses through the service voucher system. In addition to this, the company is a purchased service partner of Finnish municipalities providing personal assistance services. The company has grown rapidly, and it expects to double its turnover up to 10 million euros in 2021.
“Suomen Avustajapalvelut is the leading operator in Finland that focuses solely on personal assistance services. The need for high-quality and customer-centric services increases as the number of customers grows and services are increasingly produced through service vouchers instead of the conventional employer model. Customers are also increasingly living at home, which adds to the demand for personal assistance. In addition to taking care of basic needs, facilitating hobbies and activities, for example, are a key factor in improving the quality of customers’ quality of life. We see significant opportunities in improving the availability of services in several areas. It is great to be part of promoting the well-being of persons with disabilities and to work together with an energetic entrepreneur duo,” says CapMan Growth partner Antti Kummu.
Suomen Avustajapalvelut offers services to its customers nationwide with the help of hundreds of professionals. Focus on the customer and support for their personal autonomy is at the heart of the operations. Surveys show that the company’s customer and employee satisfaction levels are the highest in the sector with an average of over 4.5/5.
“Suomen Avustajapalvelut is Finland’s leading provider of high-quality personal assistance services. We aim to be a significant national operator in this segment. Our customers value that they can define how the services are produced and who assists them, without the bureaucracy of the employer model. We have grown rapidly over the last few years, and now is the time to take the company to the next level with a new partner. CapMan has successfully developed growth concepts in the care sector and offers us valuable sector-specific insight, in addition to the investment. We are looking forward to developing our business together,” says CEO of Suomen Avustajapalvelut Jerry Pasanen.
CEO Jerry Pasanen and founder and CFO Taneli Tenhovuori, who established the company in 2017, have worked in management and development positions in the care sector in the past. CapMan Growth becomes a minority shareholder in the company following this transaction, while the two entrepreneurs remain as majority shareholders.
