Paratus technology will strengthen CSAM’s position in the emergency and acute market
OSLO, Norway (April 23, 2018) – CSAM announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Saab’s Paratus emergency response business. Certain standard closing conditions apply; the transaction is estimated to be completed on May 31, 2018. This transaction reinforces CSAM’s focus on accelerating growth through strategic acquisitions and strengthens its position as the leading provider of niche eHealth solutions in the Nordics.
Emergency service professionals rely on highly responsive, accurate and specialized solutions to save lives. The Paratus portfolio features a number of products that deliver operational support and optimization for emergency service professionals, including ambulances and fire brigades.
Paratus includes mobile solutions, such as handheld computers and pocket navigation, as well as complex information systems that provide common situational awareness and shared information between emergency service centres and operational units. The solution enables the monitoring and coordinating of pre-hospital and rescue forces in an emergency situation.
“The acquisition of Saab’s Paratus business broadens CSAM’s leading portfolio in emergency and acute solutions, building a platform for continued growth in this important market,” said Sverre Flatby, CEO of CSAM. “The Paratus team brings significant expertise and passion for the technology, and we look forward to including them to deliver exceptional value to our Nordic customers across pre-hospital and rescue emergency services.”
CSAM is the leading provider of emergency and acute care software in Norway. Over the past 20 years, the company’s highly skilled people have developed the most comprehensive portfolio of pre-hospital emergency solutions, with its AMIS suite of products. CSAM AMIS products are designed to support all aspects of emergency management, including Emergency Medical Communications Centres (EMCCs), mobile units such as ambulances, and emergency departments.
“Paratus provides a strong complement to our AMIS suite of products, expanding our product portfolio, customer base in the Nordics, and expertise in emergency management,” said Flatby. “This acquisition underscores CSAM’s commitment to investing in our emergency services customers, providing them with the solutions they need to save lives.”
